The aster is the birth flower for September, and its name comes from the Greek word for star, after the ring of narrow petals around its center. Asters open as the summer garden fades, often the last purple in the beds before frost. Ours faces forward with sixteen narrow petals around a small disc, on a straight stem with two slim leaves. Aster sits beneath in brush script, with SEPTEMBER in engraved capitals.
Blueberry is a deep navy that holds the pressed petals as a dark, crisp shadow. The design is die-pressed into the front of full-grain leather and made by hand to order. Gold foil can be added at checkout, and shipping within the US is free.
