The Finishing Touch – a leather collection about making rooms

A September study.
The Finishing Touch is a small leather collection about the way rooms actually get made. Four original stamps, each pressed on the object where its logic belongs – because a room is finished by its smallest things.
First, we drew a floor plan – four walls, a door swung open mid-arc – and set MAKE ROOM inside, because that is where every project starts. On an entry table the tray does exactly what it says: it makes room for the keys and the pocket clutter.
Looks great pressed into the golden tan.
Next, we bent a carpenter's folding rule into the shape of a little house and wrote MEASURE TWICE underneath. A journal is where the measurements live, and the second thoughts too. One journal in deep navy, one in pale warm greige.
Then, a small lamp, switched on, above the words THE LITTLE THINGS. Rooms are finished by their smallest objects – so are days. We pressed it on keychains in pale sea-blue and in chestnut, and on the toiletry bags in honeyed russet over deep brown, since a dopp kit is, by definition, a bag of little things.
And finally, the one we liked the most. Six chairs in a row, five of them behaving – ONE WILD THING written beneath. Every good room has one, and it is usually the piece you almost talked yourself out of. The design runs lengthwise along the tags, in deep green and in honeyed russet.
The black tag carries the design in gold.
Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.
