Alegria Destination & Events × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Alegria Destination & Events.
For the warm-up, we put the Alegria Destination & Events logo on the toiletry bags – the script and its star pressed into golden tan leather over deep brown.

First, we took their promise that travel should feel "joyful, personal, and beautifully simple," and drew it as one continuous line. It starts as a knot of moving parts and ends at the star, a single clean stroke by the time it gets there.

On the luggage tags the trio runs from black through golden tan to pale sea-blue. The black tag carries the design in gold. It looks genuinely beautiful.

Next, the same line on the passport covers, at the generous size a monogram usually gets – in navy and in golden tan.

Then the second design. Alegria is Spanish for joy, so we set the star on a pin and planted it the way a destination gets marked on a map.

On the keychains it comes in golden tan and black; the black fob takes the gold. Keychains with the star marker look just awesome.

The catchall tray gets the marker at full size. A tray is where everything lands once the traveling is done, so the claim holds.

And finally, the journals – deep wine for the wine-country journeys, warm tan beside it – with the marker pressed in the corner. A place to write down the places.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
