Dream Clean Columbus × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A August study.
Dream Clean Columbus is Kimberli Mirras's owner-operated cleaning company for the Columbus, Ohio market, serving private homes alongside commercial rooms. The homepage promise reads “A Cleaner Space, A Clearer Mind”, and the official mark holds the same thought in geometry: a compact emblem of interlocking teal and gray strokes that reads as a doorway with an open threshold, set over a quiet gray wordmark. Even the official page on window cleaning talks about clarity and brightness, which is the way a stamp thinks too.
We read the doorway and stayed there. A cleaning day begins at somebody's door, with somebody's trust in hand, and it ends with the room left ready. That gave us the study.
Pressed
The full lockup is wide, so it lies lengthwise along the tag, strap to the left, pressed blind into the grain – doorway above, wordmark beneath, exactly as the brand draws it.

Three leathers, each argued from the mark. Pale sea-blue carries the emblem's teal. Blueberry answers the deep blue the site reserves for its headings, and pale gray-sand stands in for the white field the whole brand rests on – the cleaner space, in leather. The family render keeps all three side by side.
The doorway key
The companion die takes the verified emblem at its word. The six-sided doorway form becomes the bow of a housekey, and its open bottom – the one unclosed side the brand drew – becomes the passage the shank hangs through. The key that opens the room stands in the doorway it was trusted with.

Wordless and tall, the mark stands upright, so this family runs on width-wise blanks. A key wants to hang; the tag lets it.

Country gray takes the wordmark's own gray into the grain with a warm undertone. Deep forest green picks up the fresh accent the site keeps in reserve, and the pale sea-blue returns so the emblem's color travels with both families. All three press blind, so the key reads as shadow in the leather.
The keychain is where the study lands. We imagine these on the ring itself, riding beside clients' keys in the hands of the crew who carry the brand through other people's rooms. Two fobs, blind debossed below the rivet: one in navy blueberry, one in pale sea-blue – the two blues the brand lives between.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
