HWPO Training × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For HWPO Training.

For the warm-up, we put the HWPO logo on the toiletry bags – a blind press into black leather, so the four letters sit as pure shadow.

The official HWPO Training mark in bold black lettering for a custom leather stamping study.

Next, we counted the work. Twenty tally strokes run the length of the luggage tag, with HARD WORK PAYS OFF set underneath – and the stroke that closes the final set is a loaded barbell.

The black tag carries the count in gold; the pale sand and chestnut tags take the blind press.

Then, the training log. The journal covers carry a week of checkboxes, every box checked, above SHOW UP – a streak you can run a thumb over. We ran the duo in black and pale sand, the same near-black-on-bone as their own pages.

And finally, we took the whole creed – "SHOW UP. WORK HARD. MAKE YOURSELF PROUD." – and struck it as a seal. The words run the rim, and at the center sits a barbell seen from the end, five plates deep.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

The same seal runs at full size on the catchall tray – where the keys land once the day's work is done.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
