For Keeps × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study in homecoming – Volume I-D

A September study – Volume I-D.
For Keeps is a small collection about the way a useful gift keeps its giver present. Each design says one plain thing about coming home, and says it every day the object is handled.
First, we sent a barn swallow into a homeward dive and gave it a ribbon reading HURRY HOME – the old sailors' bird, trusted to find its own roof from any distance. A luggage tag gets read at every carousel, so this one says what the giver means. We pressed it upright into blueberry, forest green and sangria.
It looks genuinely beautiful.
The same swallow rides the corner of the toiletry bags, blueberry over sicilian brown – the kit that leaves home most often carries the order to return.
Next, the keychain. One solid little house, one window left alight, ALMOST HOME beneath – a line the keys repeat at every door. We pressed it into caramel and into blueberry.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
Then the catchall tray in arizona's golden tan. A sun slips under the horizon line and the words wait below it, exactly where the sun went – THE DAY GOES HERE. At night the keys and the coins follow it down.
And finally, the journals. Three hand-ruled lines; the first already carries WORTH WRITING DOWN, and the lower two stay empty for whoever receives it. Sangria for the wine-dark shelf of a reader, country gray for a quieter desk.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
