Lightower Fiber Networks × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

An August study.

For Lightower Fiber Networks.

The wordmark runs lengthwise along the tag, the way it was built to run – wide and lowercase, the swoosh rising out of the l and landing above the t. Navy answers the brand's own saturated blue, and pale greige the white ground the mark always sat on. The black tag carries the mark in gold.

Lightower is a tower of light, so we drew one and bent its beam into the ground it stands on: the beam leaves the lantern and curves until it becomes the level line that carries the tower. That is the whole trade of a fiber network – light, put to work. On the black fob the beacon presses in gold, a beam against the dark; the navy fob and the navy-over-espresso dopp kit take it blind.

Thirty-two thousand route miles, every one of them ending in a face of glass small enough to hide under a thumb. The seal shows the cable end-on and makes the one claim that is absurd and accurate at once: 32000 ROUTE MILES, ACTUAL SIZE. It sits centered on the golden tan tray and holds the journals' lower corner in navy and pale greige.
