TTR Sotheby's International Realty × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

An August study.

For TTR Sotheby's International Realty.

The wordmark asks for room, so it travels lengthwise – the full Sotheby's International Realty lockup pressed along a trio of luggage tags in the brand's own register of deep navy and quiet pale sand. The third tag is black, and the black carries the gold.

Every closing ends with a set of keys changing hands, and HOMEPORT gives them a berth: a gabled house whose foundation resolves into a hull, riding its own waterline. It lands on the fobs those keys will hang from and on the golden tray where they make landfall each evening; the dopp kit, navy over warm brown, takes it out for the weekend and brings it home. The black fob carries the gold.

A journal for the chapter that begins at settlement. Its compass rose gives up the letter N – due north is a small gabled house, and every heading on the Shore gets figured from there. Navy and pale sand, chart ink on chart paper.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
