Three leather luggage-tag studies for Motherly

Warmth without shorthand
Motherly speaks to modern motherhood with a voice that is supportive, candid, and visually composed. A useful gift for its team, creators, partners, or collaborators should carry warmth without falling into the familiar sentimental symbols of the category.
The wordmark offers a better starting point: dark green serif forms, generous space, strong counters, and a measured rhythm. These three studies turn the construction of that typography into small domestic scenes. The name and letters never appear on the leather.
Luggage tags make sense for retreats, conferences, creator gatherings, or year-end recognition. More importantly, they can hold a shared-life image that feels personal while remaining appropriate across many kinds of recipients.
Leather and treatment
Poppy Red and Caramel take a blind deboss. Black takes the same linework in warm gold. The palette is warm; the drawings remain clean and unsentimental.
The three concepts
1. Book at Sunrise
An open book holds a small rising sun at its center. The deep V and splayed structure come from the wordmark's M, transformed until no letter remains. It reads as reading, learning, or a new chapter. For an editorial community, that makes it an especially natural gift.
2. Two Place Settings
A large place setting sits beside a small one. The circular counter of the wordmark's O becomes the primary plate, and the paired scale makes the relationship legible in a second. The image is domestic, direct, and more generous than a generic parent-and-child silhouette.
3. Laundry Line
A large shirt and a small shirt share one clothesline. Their measured spacing comes from the unusually open tracking of the Motherly wordmark. The scene is ordinary enough to be understood instantly and specific enough to feel lived rather than idealized.
