Samantha Crompton × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Samantha Crompton.
First, we went back to the baggage claim where Samantha's own luggage-tag story begins – the belt of suitcases that all look alike. Seven identical bags ride the belt on this stamp, and the middle one wears a bow beneath the words THAT ONE IS MINE.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather. The black tag carries the phrase in gold.

Next, the pun a fashion writer's passport deserves. A runway climbs to the horizon and the flashbulbs are already firing at the far end – RUNWAY TO RUNWAY, wheels up to front row, on true black and pale warm greige.

Then the toiletry bags. Travel-size beauty is a genre straight from Samantha's byline list, so we pressed one atomizer above the words TRAVEL SIZE, small in the lower corner of a black bag stacked on a deep espresso one.

For the golden tan tray, a stamp for the hour the look comes off. Folded sunglasses over the words OFF DUTY – the dish by the door where earrings and room keys land.

Next, the piece Samantha has promised to style forever. A blazer, lapels sharp, above THE FOREVER PIECE – scaled down to live on a set of keys, in black and pale rose.
The black fob carries the blazer in gold.

And finally, the one we liked the most. A rail of empty hangers, and across the middle hanger rests a fountain pen – THE EDIT. Everything else went back; the writing earned its place on the pale rose and pale greige journals.
It looks genuinely beautiful.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
