The Hot Tub Doctor × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

An August study.

For The Hot Tub Doctor.

Their emblem is a doctor's cross with the waterline rising through its arms – the whole practice in one shape. We pressed it faithfully, at full size, into the golden tan tray, where keys and pocket change check in at the end of a day of house calls.

One strong beat, then the trace settles into ripples and runs calm – a service call read left to right. It travels lengthwise on a tag trio cut from the emblem's own palette, warm red for the field and pale sea-blue for the water with a pale greige third for the cross, and sits low on the journal covers in navy and pale greige, a chart worth keeping.

Doctor's orders: ONE LONG SOAK, REPEAT AS NEEDED, above a signature no pharmacist could hope to read – which is how you know it's genuine. The prescription rides the keychains in warm red and pale sea-blue, and the dopp kits in navy over deep brown, packed and ready for the next call.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
