One More Game – a leather stamping study for game night in Broomfield, Colorado
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of original leather stamping studies.
Volume I-B – A September study.
One More Game is a small leather collection for the game table, designed for game night in Broomfield, Colorado – for the hour when the house has gone quiet and somebody says the words anyway.
First, the design the collection is named after. The last lamp still burns over the table, and beneath the light stands the phrase that keeps every good night going – ONE MORE GAME. We pressed it upright on bag tags in navy and in deep wine.

On the black tag the design is pressed in gold foil, so the lamplight comes out as actual gold. It looks genuinely beautiful.

Next, luck you can carry. We turned a horseshoe heels up so the luck stays in, and set a die in its cradle beneath the motto – BRING YOUR OWN LUCK. It rides on keychains in golden tan and in deep green.

The same luck goes into the corner of the two-bag kit, navy over deep brown, for everything that travels to game night.

Then, the campaign journals. Every table argues about the notes, and the notes always win. We crossed a quill with a sword and hung the verdict on a banner between them – WHAT REALLY HAPPENED – pressed into the corner of journals in deep wine and in deep brown.

And finally, the centerpiece of the collection. Twenty centuries ago a general crossed a river and said it first; every roll since has repeated him. A die tumbles over the water inside a ring lettered in both tongues – ALEA IACTA EST above, THE DIE IS CAST below. We stamped it dead center in the golden tan leather dice tray, so every die that lands there lands on the words. No takebacks.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
