The Saturday Table – a leather collection for Greenville, South Carolina

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

The Saturday Table is a small leather collection rooted in the Greenville weekend – a market basket in the morning, a full table at night. Five stamps, pressed into everyday goods from luggage tags to journals.

First, the market run. We filled a basket past its brim and set MARKET DAY beside it in wide capitals. The trio of luggage tags runs deep pine green through warm tan to deep wine – the stalls wear the same colors in August.

Next, the rabbit. The Swamp Rabbit Trail puts more than thirty-two miles under Greenville's feet, so we drew the rabbit at full stretch and gave the miles a line of their own – then pressed it on pine green and golden tan.

Keychains with the rabbit look just awesome.

Then the catchall tray. We set a whole place on its base, fork and knife flanking the plate, SET ONE MORE PLACE arched over the rim – so the tray that holds your keys by the door keeps a seat open at your table.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

The journals wanted a supper book. We crossed a fork and a spoon like sabers over WHAT WE ATE, in deep wine and pale greige – the best Saturdays end with something worth writing down.

And finally, the promise a weekend bag makes. A swallow banking for home above BACK BY SUPPER, stamped small in the corner of the toiletry kits – honeyed russet over deep espresso.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
