The Daily Line – Volume I-B – a leather collection for the drawing habit

Volume I-B. A September study.
The Daily Line is a small leather collection for people who make things. Every stamp in it speaks the maker's language – a journal that asks for one line a day, a catchall tray that frames whatever lands in it.
First, the motto that names the collection. For two thousand years painters have handed down Apelles' rule: no day without a line. We set it in plain capitals on the journal's corner, and beneath it the line itself practices – wavering at first, then running true.
It looks genuinely beautiful stamped into the deep green, and just as good in the deep wine.
Next, the luggage tags. We wrote TRAVELS WITH SKETCHBOOK and let a small pencil draw the underline – a tag that tells the carousel what actually matters inside the bag.
The black tag carries the line in gold; the warm red and the pale sea-blue take a blind press.
Then the keychains. We drew a pencil worn down to the stub and freshly sharpened, and set STILL SHARP beneath it – a compliment to anyone who has kept at it. It rides in golden tan and in true black.
For the toiletry bags we borrowed a word from the watercolor table. WASH, under one broad brushstroke – the technique on paper, the errand in the bag. The navy and the chestnut come as a pair from the same stack.
And finally, the one we liked the most. The catchall tray wears an empty picture frame with a small museum plaque reading STILL LIFE, so whatever you empty from your pockets hangs as the day's exhibition.
Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the golden tan.
