Worlds on Weeknights – a Broomfield leather collection for game night (Volume I-D)

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies, this one a collection of original designs.

A September study – Volume I-D.

Worlds on Weeknights is a small leather collection made for the game nights of Broomfield – for the table that gathers the same people every week and, for a few hours, turns into somewhere else entirely.

First, the table itself. We drew a plain kitchen table with a mountain range growing straight out of its top and a small moon over the tallest peak, then set WORLDS ON WEEKNIGHTS in the space between the legs – because that is exactly what an ordinary table does once the box opens.

It runs lengthwise along the luggage tags, pressed blind in warm red and in navy. The black tag carries the design in gold foil.

Next, a keychain for the standing appointment. A house with one window still lit under a crescent moon, and SAME TIME NEXT WEEK beneath it – the promise a good game night ends on.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather. The black fob carries it in gold; the warm red one is pressed blind.

The same promise rides the toiletry bags, pressed small into the lower corner – navy over dark espresso, for the weekend the whole group finally gets away.

Then, a journal for whoever keeps the record. A raised hand, sworn in above the words NO ONE WILL BELIEVE US – because by the next morning the session sounds invented, and the notes are the only witness. It sits in the lower corner, in deep wine and in deep green.

And finally, the dice tray. A drop-zone ring with a falling star on final approach, and FATE LANDS HERE at its center, stamped into the golden tan leather – every roll that comes to rest inside finishes the picture.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
