Worth Keeping – a leather collection about objects that earn their place

A September study – Volume I-B.

Worth Keeping is a small collection about objects that earn their place. Three original designs, pressed into leather – a material that gets better the longer it is handled.

First, the design the collection is named for. We carved an ornate picture frame with nothing inside it but the words WORTH KEEPING – because whatever a frame surrounds becomes exactly that.

On the journals the frame sits in the lower corner, a quiet promise about what gets written inside – once in deep wine, once in pale greige.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

The same mark rides the toiletry bags, caramel over dark espresso – the substantial gift of the set.

And on the golden tan catchall tray the frame does its best work. Whatever gets emptied from a pocket at the end of the day lands inside it, and is framed.

Next, the keychains. Keys are the leaving object, so we set the opposite argument on the fob – a cup seen from above, a leaf poured into the crema, and around the saucer the words STAY FOR THE SECOND CUP.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather – here in dark espresso and in deep forest green.

And finally, the luggage tags. Two cups, and the steam of the first flattens into a dotted route that lands in the second – BETWEEN GOOD STOPS, because a suitcase always is.
