Monks at the Great St. Bernard Pass kept these dogs to find travelers lost in Alpine snow, and the breed still wears that kindly, heavy look. Ours stands on Sicilian brown leather, a warm reddish brown, with its enormous head and long tail hanging low. Saint Bernard follows in brush script over THE SAINT in capitals.
The Saint is sunk into full-grain hide by a metal die, a blind deboss. Sicilian brown darkens into chestnut over the years. We make every keychain by hand to order, and gold foil can be selected at checkout for the lettering.
