Three luggage-tag studies for Alfaparf Milano Professional
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world organizations.
An August study.
A ribbon drawn through, towels folded, and tools rolled for the road
Alfaparf Milano Professional presents a professional hair-care world of color, treatment, texture, education, and salon expertise. Its current US site leads with movement and serves professionals through product families, inspiration, technical knowledge, and distribution.
The visual system is exceptionally typographic: a wide, compressed three-line wordmark with triangular counters, paired with black, white, warm gray, and coral accents. These independent studies do not reproduce the name, stacked wordmark, letters, monogram, bottle silhouette, or salon scissors. The wide proportion and triangular openings become a broad comb threaded by ribbon, the three tiers become folded towels, and the small coral control becomes the clasp on a rolled professional tool kit.
As leather luggage tags, the ideas could be considered for approved educators, salon partners, distributors, launch teams, artists, conference guests, training cohorts, or year-end recognition. A comb, folded towels, and a tool roll belong naturally to the work, while their construction rewards a second look from someone who knows the brand.
Leather and treatment
Matte black, warm coral-red, and natural tan leather translate the public system without turning the tag into an advertisement. Tonal debossing feels at home beside professional tools; restrained antique-brass on tan supplies one warmer gift treatment.
The three concepts
1. Wide Comb, Moving Ribbon
A broad salon comb is crossed by one flowing ribbon that passes through its triangular tooth gaps. The tool is obvious at a glance; the wide silhouette and repeated triangular openings quietly transform the wordmark’s most distinctive geometry.

2. Three Folded Towels
Three long towels sit in a careful stack, each ending in a single rounded fold. The picture is practical and salon-familiar, while its three broad tiers and narrow separations echo the rhythm of the stacked name.

3. The Buckled Tool Roll
A compact professional tool roll closes around a centered rounded buckle. It reads as preparation, craft, and mobility; the small clasp turns the site’s coral button shape into useful physical hardware.

These are independent design studies for appropriate team, partner, collaborator, adviser, vendor, volunteer, donor, educator, or client occasions. No affiliation, approval, or endorsement is implied. Every image is a render used to test the object before cutting a physical die.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual.
