Caroline Hallemann × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies.

An August study.

For Caroline Hallemann.

First, we took four words from the subtitle of your book, "One Born, One Made", and drew them as two crowns of the same silhouette – the left born whole, the right made of stars. It looks genuinely beautiful.

Next, a route of your own. NASHVILLE and WINDSOR hold the two ends, and WORTH THE TRIP sits tucked under the flight line – the Royal Archives proved it once already.

Then, an inspection stamp for the writer of "18 Gifts for Groomsmen They'll Actually Use". The moment this one hangs on a bag, the tag grades itself. Here too, black takes the gold.

Your luggage-tag guide promises to set a bag apart at baggage claim, so we drew the proof: five identical suitcases, and the one with the tag is MINE. We ran it on pale sea-blue and vivid magenta, the two leathers you'd spot from across the carousel.

For the byline itself, a typewriter whose page is already folding into a paper plane. FILED FROM ABROAD. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
