An August study.

For Austin Climate Action & Resilience.

The city's A is two interwoven ribbons drawn from its own rivers and hills, and the weave holds its shape under a press. Navy and deep green tags carry the water and the canopy; the third runs golden tan, the color the sun leaves on Hill Country limestone.

One live oak, and downtown fits in its shade – the urban forest is the quietest line in the Climate Equity Plan and the largest infrastructure the city grows. It rides the keychains in deep green and pale sea-blue, and sits small in the lower corner of the navy and dark espresso kit, the way shade sits on a sidewalk.

A trunk in cross section, a ring for each year between now and 2040, the year the plan reads NET ZERO – a tree planted this month keeps the same calendar the office does. The golden-tan tray wears it like a stump, and the journals, one deep green and one warm tan, are where those rings get filled in.
