CR Electric & Supply LLC × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

An August study.

For CR Electric & Supply LLC.

The identity as it stands today – CR Electric & Supply LLC in plain capitals, the way the name reads on the public record. Good work has run under this plain type for years; we wanted to see what a mark could add to it.

The mark pressed upright on a family of luggage tags – caramel tan beside deep forest green, the tans and greens of the country around Dripping Springs, and a third in true black. The black tag carries the gold.

On the keychains, the smallest version of the idea – their profile promises the same care "regardless of how large or small the project," and a key fob is about the smallest project there is. On the black fob the bulb presses in gold, switched on; on golden tan it waits for evening.

Two journals, deep forest green and caramel, the bulb pressed generously in the corner – for the measurements and panel notes taken down before the walls close up.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
