Dairy Farmers of America × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

An August study.
The mark first, exactly as they wear it – the big DFA letters with the little cow and field tucked inside the D. Pressed blind into a navy toiletry bag stacked over deep brown, so the letterforms stand in quiet shadow relief.
Their farms run from California to Maine, and a luggage tag understands that distance. One road travels the whole length of the leather, past barns and a windmill, and ends where every milk route ends – at a table, with a full glass. Two tags wear the mark's own colors, navy and deep wine; the third goes pale warm greige, for the milk itself.
They say the whole operation runs "fueled by milk," and few things prove it like the keys that start a truck before sunrise. So the fob carries a milk can with the words on its belly, pressed into navy and deep wine.
Many farms, one daily round. Twelve barns ride a single looped road with one drop of milk at the center – the cooperative, drawn the way it actually works. It presses at generous size into the golden tan tray where pockets empty at the end of the day.
Their refrain is "making a mark that matters," and a stamping workshop takes that personally. One drop lands and the ring spreads; the corner of each journal carries that instant, in navy and warm tan, on covers where the next season gets planned in ink.
