Three luggage-tag studies for Deloitte
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world organizations.
An August study.
A final bead, moonlight on water, and balloons rising
Deloitte is a global professional-services organization whose public language emphasizes multidisciplinary work, people, clients, communities, collaboration, and progress made together. Public descriptions of its executive-support work include schedules, travel, meetings, events, visitors, and the flow of information that keeps demanding work moving.
The current visual system is spare and confident: a gray or white wordmark completed by one small bright-green point, black and charcoal fields, crisp modern type, and large circles that meet or cross the edge of a composition. These independent studies do not reproduce the wordmark, any letters, the green point after text, a slogan, or an audit symbol. Instead, the final-point logic completes an abacus row, a cropped circle becomes a moon over water, and varied circular fields become a small cluster of balloons.
As leather luggage tags, the ideas could be considered for approved executive travel, recruiting and onboarding groups, project teams, offsites, promotions, retirements, or event staff. An abacus, moonlit water, and balloons are ordinary pictures before their construction reveals anything organizational. That keeps the object suitable for a person first and a company occasion second, subject to the firm’s procurement and gift policies.
Leather and treatment
Matte black, cool gray, and natural tan leather translate the public palette into a quiet professional family. Deep blind impressions keep the first two pieces restrained. Antique-brass foil on tan adds one warmer recognition treatment while preserving the identical die across all three tags.
The three concepts
1. The Final Bead
A classic abacus holds several rows in progress, while one separated bead completes the top row. The tool reads immediately as counting and completion; the final small point quietly restates the construction principle that closes Deloitte’s current mark.

2. Moon Over Calm Water
A full moon rises from a dark horizon and places a short reflection on still water. The first read is simply a peaceful night journey, while the luminous circle meeting the dark field echoes the large circle-and-edge compositions used across the current site.

3. Balloons Let Rise
Three balloons of different sizes gather at one knot and drift upward. They are a direct picture of celebration for promotions, milestones, and send-offs; their mixed open and filled circles translate the brand’s circular-field rhythm into a giftable everyday object.

These are independent design studies for appropriate team, partner, collaborator, adviser, vendor, volunteer, or client occasions. No affiliation, approval, or endorsement is implied. Every image is a render used to test the object before cutting a physical die.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual.
