Luke Chamberlain × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies in leather.
An August study.
For Luke Chamberlain.
First, we plotted a route. It sets out from a map pin and switchbacks across the whole length of the tag before running out at a small flag, with PLOTTED OUT OF LONDON set along the lower edge. Two tags run deep trail green and golden tan. The black tag carries the route in gold.
It looks genuinely beautiful.
Next, we let a single heart-rate trace climb into one tall spike and wrote IN THE RED beneath it – for every start line reached with more nerve than plan. One fob comes in warm poppy red, the other in black.
Then the dopp kit, warm caramel tan stacked on deep espresso brown. Every bottle inside says rinse and repeat, and so does every training block ever written. We bent one arrow into a circle chasing its own tail and set RINSE & REPEAT at its center, stamped low on the front of each bag.
His gift guide promises things a man will actually like and make use of. We cut that criterion into an inspection oval reading ACTUALLY USEFUL over a single check mark, and pressed it dead center in the golden tan tray where keys land at the end of a ride.
And finally, the journals, one deep green and one warm tan. Every test ends the same way, so the cover corner carries THE VERDICT above five stars, with four filled in. An honest tester keeps the fifth in reserve.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
