Rebecca & Anthony × Leatherius Woodman – a private wedding gift study

A July study.
Rebecca and Anthony marry on December 12, 2026, in Punta Cana, on the eastern shore of the Dominican Republic. Every guest will pack a bag to get there; for one long weekend the whole company gathers under a single roof, far from its usual addresses.
Their published story closes on five words, “home, no matter the place,” which to a leathersmith is nearly a brief in full. We drew three brass-die directions from that line and from the shape of a traveling weekend, each with a different emotional job to do. Each is rendered below on its own family of three leathers, the same stamp repeated across the set. All three are possible directions only, drawn freely as studio practice on our own account.
Twelve Twelve – the formal mark
The couple’s lockup, set like a small typographic monument. R and A share one baseline with a taller ampersand between them; a short rule underneath carries the date, 12.12.2026, and there the die ends. Restraint is the whole idea. The render shows one stamp on three tags, blind-debossed in cognac and in natural leather, then struck in gold foil on black, where it turns formal, evening wear for a suitcase. It hands each guest the same welcome the invitation gave, in a form that will still read correctly ten Decembers from now.
One Horizon – the place keepsake
A half sun rests on one long horizon line and throws five short rays. PUNTA CANA runs wide above it; 2026 sits below the line, like a date carved under a windowsill. We tried a version with palms and scraped it, because the horizon carries the idea better alone. In the render the same sun repeats across camel and poppy red, pressed blind, and on black it comes up in gold foil. The drawing holds on to a particular hour, the one when a party of travelers first gathers with the sun going low and the place makes its first impression.
The Open Door – the story keepsake
An arch-topped doorway stands open above a single threshold bar, with one solid keyhole at its center. Beneath the threshold run two short lines of capitals: HOME, NO MATTER / THE PLACE. The words are Rebecca and Anthony’s own closing line, quoted exactly, comma intact. We will leave the reading light; a line like that belongs in full to the two who wrote it. A door with its key seemed a fair gloss, so we kept the doorway empty and let the words do the carrying. The family render holds the door blind on forest green and on blueberry; on black it stands in gold foil.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
