Town of Palm Beach United Way × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Town of Palm Beach United Way.
For the warm-up, we put the mark on the luggage tags, on leathers pulled straight from it – navy for the cupped hands, warm red for the figure. The black tag carries the mark in gold foil, the color of the arcs.

Next, the keychains. The first campaign in 1945 asked Palm Beach for $64,177 and was handed $70,575; the 81st asked for $7.3 million and was handed $7,835,412. So we drew the old campaign thermometer with the mercury running clean past the goal line – PAST THE GOAL, SINCE 1945.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then, the toiletry bags. Volunteer led, volunteer driven – so we gave the rising sun open hands for rays, over the words MANY HANDS ONE TOWN. It sits small in the lower corner, navy over deep brown.

The whole thing began in 1945 as the Palm Beach Community Chest, and a catchall tray is the household version of one – everything you carry ends up in it. So the tray, in golden tan, received the founding die: a palm leaning over an open chest.
It looks genuinely beautiful.

And finally, the one we liked the most. A journal cover that keeps the ledger: ASKED AND ANSWERED. 1945, asked $64,177, given $70,575. 2026, asked $7,300,000, given $7,835,412. The third line is ruled and left blank – it belongs to whoever opens the book. Pressed on navy and on the classic ledger tan.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
