Three luggage-tag studies for Trillium Health Resources

An August study.
A paddle ready, air put in motion, and books stacked neatly
Trillium Health Resources presents a North Carolina regional organization working across professional providers, community partners, training, regional operations, resource needs, and organizational services. Its public executive structure and event material show work that crosses departments, counties, nonprofits, and professional communities. This study is limited to appropriate adult professional occasions.
The current identity is built from three broad rounded petals arranged at 120 degrees around a small central lozenge. Forest, grass, and yellow-green layers sit beside pale mint fields, purple and green action blocks, rounded search controls, and cropped petal forms entering from page corners. These independent studies do not reproduce the trillium flower, petal cluster, name, medical symbols, people networks, or healthcare icons. One rounded blade and the center lozenge become an upright canoe paddle; the three-way rotation becomes a ceiling fan with a pull chain; and the rectangular action system becomes three closed books in a tidy stack, their rounded spines recalling the softness of the identity.
As leather luggage tags, the ideas could be considered for approved staff travel, leadership retreats, professional providers, county and nonprofit partners, training cohorts, regional conferences, service milestones, or partner appreciation. They make no claim about member services, recipients, diagnoses, or individual care. The first read stays ordinary and useful: a tool that moves a boat, a fan that circulates air, and books set in order for the next person.
Leather and treatment
Deep forest, fresh grass green, and natural tan carry the organization’s public palette into a restrained material set. Tonal impressions let the broad shapes feel calm and durable; antique-brass on tan supplies a traditional commemorative version of the identical die.
The three concepts
1. The Single Paddle
One upright canoe paddle has a rounded petal-like blade and a compact diamond grip. The first read is travel and practical motion; a single softened blade and small lozenge transform two components of the identity while deliberately avoiding a flower.
2. Ceiling Fan
Three rounded fan blades turn around a solid hub, with a short beaded pull chain below. Anyone can name the object immediately. Its balanced 120-degree spacing converts the logo’s rotational construction into useful movement rather than botanical symbolism.
3. Stack of Books
Exactly three closed books rest directly on one another, slightly staggered, with rounded spines and small page ticks. The ordered stack grows from the site’s rectangular action blocks, while its softened ends preserve the approachable geometry seen throughout Trillium’s public system.
