The Long Campaign – a Broomfield leather collection

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies of original designs.

A September study. Volume I–C.

The Long Campaign – a small collection for game night, pressed into leather for Broomfield. Four designs, one table.

First, we drew the twenty-sided die as one more summit of the Front Range, with BROOMFIELD set beneath the ridge. The best roll of the night, standing where the mountains meet the plains.

We pressed it upright on luggage tags in navy and in deep forest green. It looks genuinely beautiful.

Next, the campaign journals. Every session opens with the recap, so we gave the cover the words it was always going to say – PREVIOUSLY, IN BROOMFIELD.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather – here in deep wine and in deep brown.

Then, the catchall tray, which is where dice end up anyway. We set two dice at rest at the center, the tumble still dotted in the air above them, and arched LET THE DICE FALL WHERE THEY MAY over the whole affair – pressed at generous size into the golden tan tray.

And finally, the table itself, seen from above – four chairs around it, and the nearest one pulled back for you. THE TABLE IS WAITING.

Keychains in warm tan and in navy, so the reminder rides along with the keys. They look just awesome.

And on both bags of the toiletry stack, navy over deep brown, for whoever leaves town knowing the seat stays open.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
