The Open Range Collection – a Scottsdale leather stamping study
Volume I-A – an independent stamping study.
A September study.
Old Town Scottsdale, where the West still keeps a street address. For it we made the Open Range Collection – original Western designs pressed into saddle-toned leather.
First, the bison. We lowered its head into the slanting rain and set INTO THE STORM underneath.
It looks genuinely beautiful. The black tag carries the design in gold foil; caramel and gray sand take the blind press.
On the toiletry bags it sits low in the corner, the way a brand sits on a hide.
Next, the lariat. We threw the loop open and wrote ROOM TO ROAM inside – a rope out to catch open country, waiting in the corner of a journal for whatever wants writing down.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
On the catchall tray the loop lands where pockets empty – the keys drop inside the rope.
And finally, the horse – full stride between OLD TOWN and SCOTTSDALE. Fifth Avenue keeps its horses at a fountain; a pocket can keep one too.
Keychains with the running horse look just awesome too.
