This is the overall girth/circumference of the collar.
Make sure your neck circumference is smaller than your collar size.
If the neck girth and collar girth is the same - the collar won't fit.
Always choose a size bigger if in between sizes.

XXS Length: 7-8 inches, Width: 5/8 inches
XS Length: 8-10 inches, Width: 5/8 inches.
S Length: 9-12" Width: 5/8"
M Length: 11-16" Width: 5/8"

S Length: 10-12" Width: 1"
M Length: 11-14" Width: 1"
L Length: 13-17" Width: 1"
XL Length: 16-24" Width: 1"
XXL Length: 22-30 inches, Width: 1 inch.
