Brown trout crossed from Europe to American rivers in the late nineteenth century, and the big ones still feed mostly after dark. The die gives this fish a heavy head, its jaw running back past the eye, above a nearly square tail. Tight lines, the angler's old farewell, sits in brush script over BROWN TROUT in capitals.

Indian summer is a warm golden tan, close to the butter yellow of a brown trout's belly. Each fob is handmade to order from full-grain leather and pressed on one side by a metal die. Gold foil can be added at checkout, and shipping is free across the US.
