Blue Ribbon Show Steer Leather Keychain – County Fair Gift
About this piece
Most show kids remember one steer above the others, the one that won its class and then went through the sale ring. This keychain keeps him. A broad polled face looks straight out from blueberry leather, close to the blue of a first-place ribbon. Blue ribbon sits under it in brush script, and SHOW STEER follows in engraved capitals.
It suits the kid heading back to the barn next summer and the parent who sat in the bleachers for every class. A metal die presses the design into the front of the full-grain fob, and each keychain is made by hand to order. Gold foil is offered at checkout, and shipping is free in the US.
