About this valet tray
A personalized leather valet tray for the nightstand or the desk: the place where keys, watch, rings and coins land at the end of the day. It lies flat for travel and snaps into a tray at each corner, and your initials are pressed deep into the base inside our diamond frame.
Why our tray is built differently
Most leather valet trays are cut from one piece of leather and folded up at the corners, so the inside of the base is the rough flesh side of the hide. That side cannot take a stamp; the best it can do is a laser engraving, which burns the fibres and looks it.
Ours is built in layers: a solid leather base with a face-grain layer on top, so the inside of the tray is smooth full-grain leather. That is what lets us press your initials or your logo into the base with a metal die, deep and clean, the way leather was meant to be marked.
At a glance
- Size: 7⅞ × 7⅞ in laid flat, with low walls once the corners are snapped.
- Leather: full-grain cowhide in 17 colors, from Arizona tan to turquoise, stitched around the base.
- Stamp: our diamond frame with one to three initials, pressed in without ink.
Questions
Can I put a name instead of initials?
The diamond frame holds one to three letters. For a longer word or a logo, see our custom logo trays.
Does it fold flat?
Yes. Unsnap the corners and it lies flat in a suitcase, then snaps back into a tray at the hotel.
Why is a stamp better than engraving?
A stamp presses the letters into the leather, so they keep the grain and darken with it. A laser burns the surface; on the flesh side of a one-piece tray that is the only option, and it looks rough.
Is it a good groomsmen gift?
Yes, and it pairs well with our flask: the valet tray and flask gift set puts the same initials on both. Add a tray for each groomsman on this page.
Can you add our company logo?
Yes, on our custom logo leather valet trays: the face-grain base takes a logo die cleanly, with team prices from 10.
