Arizona Snowbird Keychain – Winter Home Leather Gift
About this piece
Each fall the license plates from Minnesota and Ontario start turning up in Scottsdale and Mesa, and the people driving them call themselves snowbirds with real pride. They compare first winters the way old hands compare service dates. This keychain gives the winter place a fob of its own. Arizona is pressed into Indian Summer leather as one solid field, with a small heart left standing at Scottsdale. Snowbird follows in brush script, and ARIZONA WINTERS sits below in engraved capitals.
Indian Summer is a sunny tan that ripens toward honey with handling. A metal die presses the design into the front of a full-grain fob, and each one is made by hand to order. It suits grown children shopping for parents who head south every year. Gold foil is offered at checkout, with free US shipping.
