Between Two Lakes – a Wasilla, Alaska leather collection

A September study – Waterfall Volume I-B – Commercial Fit.

Wasilla sits between two lakes, with the Talkeetna Mountains holding the horizon, and that map fact named this small leather collection before we drew a single line. Between Two Lakes begins with luggage tags and journals, and the rest of the shelf follows.

First, the emblem. We set BETWEEN TWO LAKES in the narrow channel where the town actually lives – a lake presses in from either side while the ridge runs along the top. One straight line crosses beneath the words, the highway that threads it all together.

It looks genuinely beautiful on the navy tag.

The black tag carries the gold.

Next, we let the same lakes spread across the catchall tray in golden tan – the dish where keys and pocket change land at the end of the day, which felt right for an emblem about where home sits.

Then a bull moose, drawn head-on so the antlers open like two held-out hands, with THE VALLEY beneath him – the name people here use without thinking about it.

The moose keychains, in deep green and golden tan, look just awesome.

After that, the rivers. Around here a channel splits around the gravel and finds itself again downstream, so the toiletry kit carries the braid with THE RIVER FINDS A WAY set underneath – a good sentence to pack. Navy over chestnut.

And finally, the journals, in deep wine and pale warm greige. A page written in this valley tends to begin as a letter home, so the cover says so – DEAR VALLEY, above the ridge line, the comma left open for whatever comes next.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
