AGM Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

AGM Travel is the Mazza family's agency on Cranston Street in Cranston, Rhode Island – Ann, Giuseppe and Daniel Mazza, selling international airfare, cruises and packages since 1981. Forty-five years of tickets under one line: "Explore the world with confidence." Their name reached us as plain white type – three letters that read like a family's initials deserve better than a template font.

The mark this study proposes is the label a shop like theirs has earned: a vintage luggage-label lozenge, the letters A G M set inside it, EST 1981 beneath. Nothing invented – just their own history, framed.

A pale sea-blue for the water their packages point to, caramel for four decades of paper tickets, and black for the gold pass.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
