Archer Escapes × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

Archer Escapes is Michelle Belcher's honeymoon and romance advisory in Northern Virginia – a Virtuoso advisor whose Archer is Sagittarius, her own sign. The whole identity is celestial: a crescent moon between her initials, sparkle stars tucked into the letterforms, and a line we'd steal if we could – guided by the stars, grounded in experience.

The mark, as found

Archer Escapes monogram - a crescent moon between serif initials

Pressed

Navy blueberry for the night sky her moon hangs in, gray sand for the whitewashed stucco of her hero islands, and black for the gold pass.

The archer's aim

Then the second die, giving the Archer her bow: drawn, nocked, aimed at one waiting star, the crescent watching from above.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
