B. Braun × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
A September study.
For B. Braun.
For the warm-up, we put the B | BRAUN logo on the luggage tags, lengthwise, with SHARING EXPERTISE riding beneath it just as it does in the original – once in the deep green of the mark, once in pale warm greige.

The black tag carries it in gold.

Next, the mission says "We protect and improve the health of people around the world." So we drew a heart and gridded it with meridians until it became a globe, then set it in the corner of the toiletry bags – the bag that goes around the world.
On the black leather the blind stamp reads as a quiet shadow relief.

Then we took "Sharing Expertise" at its word – one hand passes a key to another, caught mid-handover. On a keychain, what gets shared is the key.
Keychains with the passed key look just awesome.

And finally, the one we liked the most. B. Braun began in 1839 as the Rose Pharmacy in Melsungen, and it has watched over the pulse ever since. So we ran a heartbeat line across the cover and let its tallest spike open into a rose, with MELSUNGEN 1839 beneath.
It looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

The same rose beats at the center of the catchall tray, in golden tan.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
If you're B. Braun and you'd like these made real, or anything here changed – say hello through our contact page.
