Big Pond Podcasts × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Big Pond Podcasts.
For the warm-up, we put the Big Pond Podcasts logo on the luggage tags. The navy and the pale sea-blue come straight from the blue of their emblem; a pale greige tag stands in for the white ground.

Next, MAKE WAVES. Above the waterline the signal, below it the rings it leaves – a podcast, heard across the pond. We stamped it into the corner of the toiletry bags, navy over deep brown.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then we took the Pod family at its word and drew the pod – four microphones riding in a pea pod. One fob in navy, one in pale sea-blue.
Keychains with the pod stamp look just awesome.

Then the catchall tray, in golden tan. We made the tray itself the pond: a bullseye of rings with BIG POND at the center, so whatever the day drops in lands in the water.

And finally, the one we liked the most. NO SMALL PONDS – the rings run clean off the edges of the stamp, a pond too big for its frame. It goes on the front panel of the journals, black and pale greige, where the next show gets planned.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
