Blue Window World Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

Blue Window World Travel is Julie Reid's shop in West Linn, Oregon – custom honeymoons and adventure trips across all seven continents, for people ready to journey beyond their comfort zone. Her logo rewards a second look: the globe is built of mosaic tiles, and one tile, low and center, glows aqua. A single blue window, set into the world.

The mark, as found

Pressed lengthwise

A pale sea-blue for her signature aqua, navy blueberry for the deep water under it, and black for the gold pass.

The window seat

Then the second die, for the window every traveler knows best: the cabin porthole, horizon low in the pane, sun up, wingtip in the corner. Forehead against the glass, somewhere over the first ocean of the trip.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
