Bluvari Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Bluvari Travel is a boutique consultancy that designs luxury journeys one traveler at a time; the site promises “Tailored Travel Planning & Design for Discerning Travelers”, and above it, “Crafting Dreams, Forging Memories Your Journey, Our Expertise”. Behind both lines is Desiree Warr. Born in San Diego to a military family, she grew up partly in Rota, on Spain's Atlantic coast, and partly in Pensacola, Florida; travel, she writes, has “always been part of my story”. She works from Utah these days – Lehi, if the public listings have it right – and her Embark Beyond affiliation opens the Virtuoso network to her clients.
What pulled us in was the B. Inside a textured gold circle, two white curves form the letter out of the space they leave open, and that is exactly how a stamp works; a deboss draws in absence. A mark already built from negative space tends to press as if the die had come first. The wordmark below it, wide high-contrast serifs over small letterspaced TRAVEL, gives the lockup its spine.
The mark, as found

Pressed lengthwise
We pressed the full stacked lockup into a pair of brand leathers, deep blueberry navy for the ground the mark lives on and warm caramel for the gold it is made of. Black carries the gold foil. The source gold is a photographic foil texture that no die can keep, so we held the geometry and let each hide supply its own warmth; whether caramel earns that trade is a question a render can only half answer.

Tailored travel
Her keyword is “tailored”, so we took it literally. A small airplane trails a stitched route that resolves into a sewing needle, the whole line running above TAILORED TRAVEL; flight path and thread turn out to be one drawing. Pressed lengthwise, the drawn running stitch sits a finger's width from the real saddle stitching at the tag's edge.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
