Bora Bora Bound × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

Bora Bora Bound is Zac Sweet-Wright's personal travel concierge out of the Tampa area – cruises, beach escapes and honeymoons, with a name that promises one lagoon above all others. His monogram earns its keep: two mirrored letters B interlocked so their bowls cross into an almond of open space, like a reflection on still water.

The mark, as found

Pressed

A pale lagoon-blue for the water in the name, caramel for the golden-hour sand, and black for the gold pass.

The heading

Then the second die, for people who know exactly where they're going: Mount Otemanu's unmistakable silhouette over a calm lagoon line, and beneath it the island's fix – 16.50° S, 151.74° W. A luggage tag that states its destination.

The heading design made for Bora Bora Bound - Mount Otemanu over its coordinates

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
