Cabinet Légal Mastromonaco × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Cabinet Légal Mastromonaco.
For the warm-up, we put the Cabinet Légal Mastromonaco logo on the toiletry bags – navy for the ink of their own mark, over deep espresso brown, pressed blind.
Next, the design. The firm says its lawyers are the client's voice in court, so we took the moment that voice is granted the floor – the courtroom's own formula, LA PAROLE EST À LA DÉFENSE, set in engraver's capitals inside a single heavy frame, like a line lifted from a court record.
On the luggage tags the frame stands upright. Navy answers their mark; deep espresso brown keeps the register senior. The black tag carries the phrase in gold. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
Then, the keychains – the phrase rides below the rivet. The black fob carries it in gold.
The catchall tray, in golden tan, gives the frame its most generous size – where keys and coins land at the end of the day.
And finally, the journals, in deep espresso brown and deep wine – because every plea is written before it is spoken. It looks genuinely beautiful.
