Chadwell Traveled × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

Chadwell Traveled is Katy Chadwell's luxury advisory in Austin, Texas – a Virtuoso advisor and Condé Nast Top Travel Specialist who studied art history and once lived in Venice, and whose name happens to contain its own review. Her teal wordmark presses beautifully as it is, so first we pressed it exactly as found.
The mark, as found

A pale sea-teal for her own wordmark, a warm russet for the terracotta her agave hero image grows out of, and black for the gold pass.
The agave creed
Then we let her own line loose. Her submark already whispers it – live well, travel often – and her homepage grows a teal agave out of desert gravel. So we cut a second die: the agave, low and wide the way Texas grows them, over the creed in letterspaced capitals. An Austin talisman for people who are always packing.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
