Court Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Court Travel is a boutique international travel agency in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, designing highly personal trips since 1990. Nancy Cutter, Owner and Travel Advisor, has directed the firm for more than 35 years, and her book Travel Basics later became the foundation of Virtuoso’s advisor training, which struck us as a quiet sort of authority. Their older site holds a line we kept coming back to: “If luxury travel were your dream home, we’d be your architect.”
The mark drew us in on its own terms. An antique globe seal sits at the far left, and to its right runs flowing title-case script reading Court Travel Ltd., underscored by a slim travel silhouette. Fluid script is a real test for a deboss; the loops want depth without losing their thread. The small capitals beneath, INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL SPECIALISTS, fall below what a stamp can hold at tag scale, so we let them go. The name, we gather, remembers a court address in Charlotte, and we like the thought of a globe keeping the same corner since 1990, though that story reaches us secondhand.
The mark, as found

Pressed lengthwise
Blueberry answers the deep blue-gray of their current site, and country gray picks up the paler blue of the supporting palette. Black, as ever, carries the gold.

Your architect
We took them at their word. A drafting compass poised over a globe, set portrait above the words YOUR ARCHITECT – the dream-home line rendered as an instrument you could hold. If they draft an itinerary the way an architect drafts a house, the compass felt like the honest tool for the job.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
