Custom Travel Professionals × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Custom Travel Professionals is the boutique agency Jill Hiers founded in 2011, grown since into a curated team of destination specialists; we read them as working from Clinton, Mississippi. Their site makes two promises, “Your concierge to the world” and “Changing the way you travel,” and behind both sits a stated design approach, each trip drawn to one traveler’s style and needs. An agency that plans travel the way a studio plans an object will forgive us for treating its crest as an object too.
The mark is why the study exists. A small suitcase sits inside a shield-like panel, ringed by fleur-de-lis and curling scrollwork, with CUSTOM TRAVEL stacked over PROFESSIONALS in an even serif beneath. Heraldry began as an art of impression, of seals and signets pressed into wax, and a crest that already thinks in relief meets a brass die more than halfway.

Country gray follows the warm gray of the crest, and dark espresso answers the charcoal editorial fields of their site. Black carries the mark in gold foil. The scrollwork gave us pause; curls that fine can close up under a die, so we simplified them only as far as die safety asked and left the suitcase seated in its shield exactly as drawn.
“Your concierge to the world”
We took the line at its word. A globe joined to a concierge bell, the whole world set where a palm would tap for service, with YOUR CONCIERGE TO THE WORLD lettered beneath. Portrait, like the crest, so the pair hangs the same way from a handle.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
