Faithful Keepsake Shop × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For Faithful Keepsake Shop.

First, we designed a little logo for you. It turned out amazing.

A sprig pressed flat inside a seal, the way a flower is kept between the pages of a well-read Bible – FAITHFUL KEEPSAKE SHOP around the ring, NASHVILLE at the foot. A keepsake is anything pressed so it will be kept, and a leather stamp works the same way.

We pressed the seal into the corner of the toiletry bags, warm tan over chestnut.

Next, the warm-up – the name exactly as it stands today, run lengthwise along the luggage tags in dusty rose and pale greige, with a black tag alongside. The black one carries the gold.

Then the verse the shop signs its story with, Proverbs 10:7 – "The memory of the righteous is a blessing." We set it beneath a candle burned nearly to its base and still holding a full flame: most of the candle is gone, and the light stays. It sits in the lower corner of the journals, pale greige and deep green, where the remembering gets written down.

Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

The catchall tray, in golden tan, is where the day's small keepsakes land – so we let it say so: EVERYTHING LAID HERE IS WORTH KEEPING. A small sprig from the seal closes the circle.

And finally, the keychains – an old key with a paper tag tied to its bow, and one word on the tag: KEPT. Whatever hangs beside it is spoken for. Dusty rose and black; the black fob carries the gold.
