GIT Satellite Communications × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For GIT Satellite Communications.
For the warm-up, we put the GIT Satellite Communications logo on the luggage tags – blind pressed into warm red and warm gray. The black tag carries it in gold.

Next, we drew the route a call actually takes. The Lone Star stands on the curve of the earth at the Austin end; a lone field antenna waits at the other. The dashed line between them climbs through a satellite – the only road left when the last cell tower is a hundred miles behind you. AUSTIN TO ANYWHERE.

On the tags it runs the long way, pressed into deep wine and pale sand. The black tag flies it in gold. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then the toiletry bags – the stamp sits low in the corner of a warm amber and dark espresso stack, a dusk horizon of its own.

Keychains with the AUSTIN TO ANYWHERE stamp look just awesome too – warm red, and gold on the black fob.

The golden tan tray takes the route at full width, so whatever leaves your pockets in the evening lands inside the signal path.

And finally, the journals. Every field report opens with a comms check, and the cover answers it – a handheld already transmitting beside LOUD AND CLEAR.

It looks genuinely beautiful – in warm gray and deep wine.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
