Go For Play Vacations × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

A July study.
Go For Play Vacations is a husband-and-wife travel practice founded by Cedric Owens and Crystal Owens, and it opens with a line we have been turning over all month: “Travel Isn't an Escape – It's a Return.” The claim is that the right journey brings a traveler back to what matters most. They say it themselves, plainly: “We didn't build a travel company. We built a relationship.” Every itinerary there begins with a conversation, and their July journal shows the practice alive and publishing this very month.
What asked for this study is the name itself. GO FOR PLAY VACATIONS reaches the visitor as plain interface text, light letters on a deep navy ground, and that quiet typesetting is the whole of their visual identity. A name that holds both play and return, wearing only type, is exactly the kind of gap this series exists to press into leather.

The mark this study proposes
We drew a circular route that comes back on itself and ends in a small paper plane, set above GO FOR PLAY VACATIONS in letterspaced capitals. The circle is their idea of return made visible, and the plane keeps the whole thing light. We hesitated over the loop for a while; a closed circle in a travel mark can read as confinement, so we left ours open where the plane lifts away from it.

Blueberry answers the deep navy of their current site, and caramel responds to the warm cream and gold-brown accents around it. Black carries the mark in gold.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
