Grip Shipping × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Grip Shipping.
For the warm-up, we put the Grip logo on the luggage tags, lengthwise, the way a route runs. Navy and pale sea-blue come straight from the two ends of their gradient; a pale greige tag stands in for the white the logo lives on.

Next, the promise. Everything Grip moves is racing its own thermometer, so we designed the postmark that certifies the race won – DELIVERED arched above and STILL FROZEN below, with a snowflake where the date would go.

It looks genuinely beautiful pressed into the corner of the toiletry bags, navy over deep espresso.

On the golden tan of the catchall tray it sits dead center, generous as a customs mark.

And on the journals – one pale greige, one navy – it presses into the lower corner, so the notebook arrives the way their parcels do.

And finally, the one we liked the most. A keychain is a chain whose whole job is to hold on, and so is Grip. Three links interlock down the fob, with a snowflake held fast in the middle one. Beneath them, one word: UNBROKEN.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather – navy and pale sea-blue, the brand's two blues.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
